Position Summary
Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Directors office.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Administrative Assistant is to fulfill duties and responsibilities:
• Answers phone calls and schedules meetings;
• Administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc;
• Makes travel arrangements for the Director such as booking flights, cars, and hotel or restaurant reservations;
• Produce and distribute correspondence such as memos, letters, faxes and forms, maintain files;
• Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports;
• Take dictation;
• Provide information by answering questions and requests;
• Research and creates presentations;
• Generate reports;
• Prepare and monitor invoices;
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques; general office duties.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• 3 years of administrative assistant experience;
• Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat;
• Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with students, faculty, staff, business/industry and the public;
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills;
• Passing the DPSCS background check is a requirement;
• Position is not eligible for remote work/telework.
Preferred Qualifications:
College degree preferred.
