Position Summary

The Department of Visual Arts at Anne Arundel Community College is seeking a part-time animation instructor to guide students in the fundamentals of visual storytelling, teaching core principles of animation, focusing on traditional hand drawn frame-by-frame techniques, and stop-motion production.

Applicants should be prepared to teach online Sync.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Department seeks instructors in particular to teach the following courses: Animation 1

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member.
Teach all scheduled classes.
Maintain accurate records.
Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should be an active practitioner in the discipline and should possess a Master of Fine Arts in a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years teaching experience in Animation or related discipline at the college level.

The pay rate for this position is $1,170.00-$1,263.00/faculty load hour.
