Position Summary

The Department of Visual Arts at Anne Arundel Community College is seeking qualified candidates for instructors in the area of Drawing and Painting

The Department seeks instructors in particular to teach the following courses: Drawing 1, Drawing 2, Drawing 3.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
Teach all scheduled classes.
Maintain accurate records.
Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should be an active practioner in the disipline and should possess a Master of Fine Arts in a related discipline.
Please include a link to an online portfolio containing samples of professional work that demonstrate expertise in this area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years teaching experience in Drawing and/or Painting at the college level.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd

Pay Rate is: $1,170.00-$1,263.00/faculty load hour
