Title: Part Time Faculty - Public Health

Salary Range: $1,114 - $1,204 per FLH
Work Mode: This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.

Position Summary
Effectively teach public health subject matter to primarily Public Health undergraduate students.
Courses may be face-to-face, live virtual, online or hybrid format, depending on the courses taught.
Possible subjects include essentials of health behavior, global health, epidemiology, emerging public health issues or introduction to public health.
Pay rate is determined based on experience, certifications, and qualifications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate with Public Health Coordinator regarding student performance;
Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and current certifications;
Attend and participate in faculty meetings as well as program related activities as necessary;
Participate in periodic review and revision of course materials and learning outcomes assessments;
Maintain confidentiality of student information;
Prepare and maintain course outlines, objectives and course syllabi as necessary;
Demonstrate skills to students and provide feedback where appropriate

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
In the best interest of the College, only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Required Qualifications:
Masters degree in Public Health, Community Health, Health Education or related field.
At least one year experience working in the public health field.
Hold academic and/or professional credentials appropriate to the subject content area taught.
Knowledgeable of course development, instruction, evaluation and academic advising.
Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through both verbal and written skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching (ideally adults).
