Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Analyst supports the Accounts Receivable Manager in overseeing the operations, compliance, and reporting functions of the Accounts Receivable office. This role involves assisting with managing tuition tables, non-credit collection policies and procedures, payment plan reporting, and the annual fiscal year-end financial closeout. The Analyst assists the Manager to ensure regulatory compliance related to Financial Aid disbursements and refunds, tax reporting (including 1098-T), and internal audits. The position also includes reviewing published materials (e.g., tuition and fees, course catalogs, class schedules, and web content) for accuracy and providing backup support for other departmental processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Non-Credit Billing & Collections Oversight: Manage collections, write-offs, and manual adjustments for non-credit billing in the Destiny One system. Liaise with the Continuing Education department to ensure the accuracy of student records.

Compliance & Audit Support: Assist the Manager in ensuring compliance with financial aid disbursement and refund regulations, collection laws, and tax reporting requirements (e.g., 1098-T). Support external audits (state, local, federal) by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors, Manager, Assistant Controller, or the Controller. Review and verify the accuracy of published materials related to tuition, fees, and schedules.

System Maintenance & Internal Controls: Support the evaluation, implementation, and monitoring of the accounts receivable system. Help maintain strong internal controls over revenue receipts and ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal policies

Reporting & Process Improvement: Generate and analyze reports to support Accounts Receivable operations. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and assist in training initiatives

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher

Minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Experience working with and transforming data, experience working in Accounts Receivable, or other related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with financial aid regulations, tax reporting (e.g., 1098-T), and audit processes. Experience with enterprise financial systems (e.g., Destiny One, Colleague, or similar). Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
