Position Summary

The Lifelong Learning Department is seeking a part-time German instructor to teach evening class(es) in our continuing education World Languages program at our Arnold campus this Fall. Previous teaching experience is required.

Candidates invited for an interview will be asked to give a short teaching demonstration. Please mention your schedule availability and location preferences in your cover letter.

The instructor is to follow the curriculum outline and learning expectations as provided. Content is housed in Canvas Learning Management System. Instructors must have proficient German language skills, 3 years teaching experience, some computer experience, and the ability to effectively manage a classroom.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily instructional lesson plans aligned with the established curriculum, ensuring adherence to the college’s philosophy, policies, and guidelines.
• Deliver engaging and high-quality instruction through lectures and hands-on classes, whether on campus, off campus, or remotely, in accordance with the professional standards of Anne Arundel Community College.
• Engage in clear, professional, and timely communication with students, faculty, and staff to foster collaboration and support.
• Ensure prompt and accurate submission of grades, attendance records, reports, and other required documentation.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in German language studies or related field.
Three (3) years of experience teaching the German language.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd
