Position Summary

The Part-Time Enrollment Center Agent at Arundel Mills is responsible for providing comprehensive customer service to students, the college community, and the general public at Anne Arundel Community College’s Arundel Mills location and remotely via phone, live chat, and email. Service departments include admissions, records and registration, accounts receivable/cashiers, financial aid, advising, continuing education, and providing general college information.

The Enrollment Center at Arundel Mills currently offers in-person service Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Monday, Thursday, and Friday service is provided in a remote format. This schedule is subject to change depending on student demand and is extended during peak registration periods. The Enrollment Center Agent is expected to work in-person when the office is open.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

In the best interest of the College, only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility

Job Duties and Responsibilities

ENROLLMENT PROCESSING:
Provide a full range of student services at AACC at Arundel Mills including but not limited to admissions, records and registration, accounts receivable/cashiers, financial aid, MyAACC instructions, international student documentation, general college information, and other related transactions. Follow and translate FERPA regulations to students and the general public. Enter credit and non-credit course registrations and make other related transactions in student records. Connect students with other college departments as needed.

REMOTE CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Assist students remotely via phone, email, and live chat.

CASHIERING:
Accept payments, apply them to student records, and transmit documentation to the Cashier's Office

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
Support the Integrated Enrollment Services department by assisting The Response Center, Enrollment Center at the Glen Burnie Town Center, and Enrollment Center at Arnold as assigned. Participate in college events including Commencement, Open Houses, and College Fairs as deemed necessary.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED

Ability to work in-person at AACC at Arundel Mills at least two days per week.

Minimum 2 years documented customer service experience.

Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required. Use resources such as the internet, databases, and manuals to locate information.

Attention to detail.

Ability to problem-solve and provide appropriate resolutions within predefined options.

Ability to assimilate new information and utilize knowledge to effectively answer inquiries from stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with the public and all other stakeholders.

Ability to identify and escalate operational issues to supervisor in a timely manner.

Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the Enrollment Services
Division throughout the academic year.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student records and working knowledge and ability to interpret the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in higher education.

Previous experience working in a community college enrollment-related department.

Previous experience working in a contact/call center.

Associate degree or higher.

Knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act regulations.

Experience with Ellucian Colleague, Modern Campus Destiny One, or Perceptive Content software.

Bilingual.
