Position Summary

The Digital Press Operator is responsible for printing College material using the Copy Center’s digital copiers, replacing consumable supplies and ensuring adequate supply inventory for those devices, and providing support to the bindery by performing basic tasks such as laminating, shrink wrapping, cutting, and book binding. In addition, the Digital Press Operator must provide excellent customer service to Copy Center customers and quality control on jobs to ensure that they are correct prior to customer pickup or delivery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Print incoming black-and-white jobs on high-speed digital copiers. Replace consumables (paper, toner, etc.) as needed.

Provide support to the bindery by performing basic work, including laminating, shrink-wrapping, cutting, and bookbinding.

Provide backup support for incoming color print work when needed.

Assist walk-in customers with copy requests.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma/GED

Minimum of one year of experience in a copy center, print shop, or similar

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with bindery equipment and processes, including spiral binding, comb binding, and wire binding, shrink wrapping, laminating, and cutting

Knowledge of Fiery image processors.
