Position Summary
Effectively teach a wide range of physical activity classes within health, fitness and exercise studies. Courses may include cardio fitness, HIIT, kettlebells, martial arts, yoga, golf or strength training. All courses are face-to-face.
Pay rate is determined based on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Teach physical activity classes and manage grading and attendance in Canvas learning management system;
Communicate with Academic Chair regarding student performance;
Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and current certifications;
Attend and participate in faculty meetings as well as program related activities as necessary;
Participate in periodic review and revision of course materials/equipment;
Maintain confidentiality of student information;
Prepare and maintain basic course syllabi and outcomes as necessary;
Demonstrate skills to students and provide feedback where appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Health, Human Performance, Kinesiology, or related field.
At least one year of experience teaching fitness classes.
Hold academic and/or professional credentials appropriate to the subject content area taught.
Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through both verbal and written skills.
