Position Summary
The HR Coordinator is an entry level HR position responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the administrative function of the Office of Human Resources, specifically supporting the staff who are responsible for the functions of Classification, Compensation, Recruitment, and HRIS. In addition, this position is cross-trained to perform the duties of the other HR Coordinator when that individual is on leave. The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing direct administrative nd clerical support to all Human Resources staff.
Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Respond daily to HR mailbox communications.
Provide support to the Recruitment, Classification, Compensation, and HRIS functions.
Prepare, update, and distribute HR materials, including templates, job descriptions, new hire documents, memos, and process documentation for subpoenas.
Prepare, track, and process personnel action forms.
Maintain the Outlook CWB distribution list and update tracking logs.
Manage the administrative workflow of the HR office, including greeting visitors, answering the main phone line, and directing inquiries.
Send maintenance requests as needed.
Update the HR internet and intranet pages. Submit tickets when updates are needed; ensure links work properly and information is current.
Handle employment verifications, including Public Student Loan Forgiveness requests.
Ensure Labor Law posters are current and posted in each designated physical location and electronically; coordinate mandatory training compliance and produce audit reports.
Process employee/dependent tuition waivers.
Schedule and support bi-monthly supervisor forums, including PowerPoint slide facilitation.
Maintain and image files (paper/electronic) for correspondence, reports, personnel records, and other HR documents; ensure compliance with record-keeping legislation and arrange for document shredding and annual archives.
Cross-train and cover duties for other HR Coordinators as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or HR Director.
Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Five years of relevant experience.
Minimum education level: a high school diploma or GED.
Advanced computer skills, with a high level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office suite applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
High level of proficiency with administrative database software systems and familiarity with HR tracking and applicant tracking systems.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, editing, and proofreading skills, are required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Ability to handle sensitive & confidential materials/matters with discretion & tact.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Human Resources administration preferred.
