Salary Range: $1,114-$1,203/FLH

Work Mode: This position requires regular in-person presence on campus and at alternative locations, depending on class schedule and other assigned duties.

Position Summary

The Visual Arts Department at AACC is seeking qualified candidates for an instructor of photography. Candidates with knowledge of the history of photography, analog photography, digital photography and studio lighting are encouraged to apply.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As a part-time faculty employee you are entitled to these benefits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Visual Arts Department seek instructors who can teach the following courses: Digital Photography 1; Digital Photography 2; Darkroom Photography 1; Alternative Photographic Processes.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines;
Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics;
Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas;
Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member;
Teach all scheduled classes;
Maintain accurate records;
Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes.

Required Qualifications:

FA degree with a concentration in photography, or a BFA in photography with significant professional experience is required. In addition, candidates should be well versed in the history and theory of contemporary photographic practice.
Please include a link to an online portfolio containing samples of professional work that demonstrate expertise in one or all of these areas of design.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience preferred.
