Position Summary

Assist Facilities Manager in daily function of kitchens at the Glen Burnie and Arnold campuses.

In the best interest of the College, only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility.

Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. 

As a temporary employee you are entitled to sick and safe leave benefits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Daily duties include, but are not limited to: receiving orders, stocking orders, setting up or breaking down of supplies and materials for credit, contract, and continuing education classes, stocking staple goods, chemical stocking, general cleaning, and ensuring proper rotation of food items.

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of food products/inventory. Perishable food receiving. Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, have a good sense of urgency, and have the ability to move/lift 50#'s of materials. Able to work in cold environments (walk-in refrigerator and walk-in freezer). Able to stand/walk/move for many hours consecutively.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
