Position Summary

The School of Science, Technology, and Education is looking for part-time faculty who are able to teach courses in the Computer Science Department. Candidate must be able to teach in a face-to-face as well as online capacity.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: assessing student progress in meeting the learning objectives through formal and informal assessment, meeting required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, as requested, and adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.

Required Qualifications:

A master's degree in Computer Science and documented teaching experience is necessary.

Seeking adjunct faculty with strong technical backgrounds in one or more of the following fields:
- Programming and Software Development – sample technologies: Object-oriented analysis and design, Java, C++, Data Structures, JavaScript, Agile, DevOps, etc.
- Full stack development – MongoDB, ReactJS, Node.js, MySQL, Git, etc.
- Database Development – Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Business Intelligence and Data Science – Python, R, Cognos, Tableau, SAS, ETL tools, etc.
- Cognitive Computing – Watson, OpenAI/GPT, etc.
- Emerging Technologies – Blockchain & General Ledger, Quantum Computing, etc.

Applicants should have:
- Industry experience
- Strong communication skills.
- Master's degree required.
- Certifications, special skills, online teaching or technical proficiency.

Dental Hygiene Academic Coordinator

In collaboration with the DHY Program Director, the Academic Coordinator oversees didactic instruction in the Dental Hygiene (DHY) program at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC), to include but not limited to, quality assurance of instruction, instructional oversight of dental hygiene part-time faculty, reviewing and updating program manuals, ensuring course content is up to date for instruction, assisting the DHY Clinical Coordinator in supervising students in the dental clinic, and monitoring student retention and completion. The Academic Coordinator participates in student recruitment, orientations, assessment activities, program analysis, student support, workforce development, and technology integration. Part-Time Faculty - Histotechnician Program (HT)

We are seeking a dedicated, year-round part-time faculty member for our Histotechnician Program who will play a pivotal role in both lab and clinical education. In the fall semester, this faculty member will assist with the preparation, supervision, and instruction of lab classes, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in histotechnology. During the spring semester, the role will focus on supporting students in clinical placements, aiding communication with clinical personnel, and conducting clinical site visits and check-ins to monitor student progress. The Event Assistant/Event Scheduler serves as the initial contact for internal and or community non-academic scheduling requests and schedules space for external customers; provides information to requesters regarding event scheduling policies and procedure; assist Manager of Event and Food Services with accounts receivable. Additionally, the Event Assistant assigns resources, confirms reservations, generates work orders and assists in event setup and support, communicates event needs to service providers and generates confirmation letter for external customers as well as performs general office duties. The Office Operations/IRB Coordinator will provide essential clerical and organizational support to the Associate Vice President (AVP) to ensure effective and efficient operation of the PRIA office.
