Position Summary

The School of Science, Technology, and Education is looking for part-time faculty who are able to teach courses in the Computer Science Department. Candidate must be able to teach in a face-to-face as well as online capacity.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: assessing student progress in meeting the learning objectives through formal and informal assessment, meeting required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, as requested, and adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.

Required Qualifications:

A master's degree in Computer Science and documented teaching experience is necessary.

Seeking adjunct faculty with strong technical backgrounds in one or more of the following fields:
- Programming and Software Development – sample technologies: Object-oriented analysis and design, Java, C++, Data Structures, JavaScript, Agile, DevOps, etc.
- Full stack development – MongoDB, ReactJS, Node.js, MySQL, Git, etc.
- Database Development – Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Business Intelligence and Data Science – Python, R, Cognos, Tableau, SAS, ETL tools, etc.
- Cognitive Computing – Watson, OpenAI/GPT, etc.
- Emerging Technologies – Blockchain & General Ledger, Quantum Computing, etc.

Applicants should have:
- Industry experience
- Strong communication skills.
- Master's degree required.
- Certifications, special skills, online teaching or technical proficiency.

Part Time Faculty - Health, Fitness and Exercise Studies

Health Fit & Exercise Studies
Effectively teach health, fitness, exercise, and kinesiology subject matter to undergraduate students, including both Kinesiology majors and students across disciplines as part of Wellness General Education requirements. Courses may be face-to-face, live virtual, online or hybrid format, depending on the courses taught. Possible subjects include personal fitness, kinesiology, First Aid/CPR, community health, women's health, sports studies, and stress management. Additionally, applicant may be needed to teach physical activity courses such as cardio fitness and weight training. Pay rate is determined based on experience, certifications, and qualifications. Director of Dental Education

Health Sciences
The Director of Dental Education is responsible for the overall planning, development, and implementation of the Dental Hygiene (DHY) program curriculum, including, but not limited to, oversight of the Dental Lab and Clinic. Provides administrator support to the Dental Assisting (DA) Program. Administrator support for the DA program includes, but is not limited to, faculty recruiting and vetting, developing a collaborative lab and clinic usage schedule, budget review, and course coverage. The Director is responsible for oversight of curriculum, industry-standard alignment, and state regulations for the DHY and DA programs. The Director is responsible for serving as an instructor in the DHY program, teaching three faculty-load hours each semester. In addition, the Director is responsible for ensuring that the program is in full compliance with the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) standards; curriculum development, revision and oversight, faculty recruitment and supervision, for preparing and administering the program budget; for recruiting potential applicants, implementing program admissions policies and procedures; and assuring adequate student-to-faculty ratios in both labs and clinic. The Director of a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program is a steward of educational quality, continuous improvement, clinical excellence, accreditation compliance, and professional integrity.

Assistant Supervisor of Grounds

Grounds
This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor of Grounds with ensuring the proper maintenance of campus grounds, roadways, and parking areas to provide a safe, healthy, and attractive environment. The incumbent is also responsible for providing support with the daily departmental operations, including Event Services setups, FPC office/staff relocations, and the refuse and recycling program. The Assistant Supervisor serves in the supervisor's role during the supervisor's absence.

Groundskeeper/Landscaper

Grounds
the Groundskeeper/Landscaper is responsible for performing all tasks related to maintaining the campus grounds, roads and parking lots. This includes but is not limited to trash collection from the campus grounds/parking lots, seasonal landscaping and snow removal.
