Position Summary

The Department of Visual Arts at Anne Arundel Community College is seeking qualified part-time faculty in the areas of Drawing, Painting, and 2D Design.

In the best interest of the College, only individuals who are residents of Maryland or one of the following states will be eligible for employment at the college: Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. The college will annually review this restriction and, if appropriate, expand the list of states of employment eligibility.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Successful applicants will be able to teach one or more of the following courses: Drawing 1, Two-Dimensional Design, Color, Life Drawing, Watercolor, Drawing 2, and Drawing 3.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in any of these or a related discipline and a minimum of 2 years full time professional work experience in the area, OR a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years work experience. Please include a link to an online portfolio containing samples of professional work that demonstrate expertise in one or all of these areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience preferred.
